When we earned promotion to the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National Men's League, we knew we were stepping into a new challenge. As newcomers to Kenya's top flight, many expected us to struggle. We saw it differently. We saw it as a chance to prove that Chema Volleyball Club belonged among the country's best.
From our very first match, we approached every game with confidence, determination, and belief. Competing against some of Kenya's most successful clubs, including Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Kenya Prisons, General Service Unit (GSU), Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), and Equity Bank, we never changed our mindset. We were not in the league to make up the numbers; we were here to compete.
The regular season was a journey of learning and growth. Every win gave us confidence, while every defeat taught us valuable lessons. Match by match, we improved as a team. The commitment of our players, the guidance of our technical bench, and the support from the club's management helped us build a strong foundation.
Drawn against former champions Kenya Prisons in the best-of-three semifinal series, we knew we had a difficult task ahead. We won the opening match, lost Game Two, and responded with a determined 3-1 victory in the decisive third match. That performance earned us a place in the KVF National Men's League Final in our very first season in the top flight.
Reaching the final in our debut season is an achievement we are proud of. It reflects the hard work, discipline, and unity that have defined our journey from the beginning. Our experienced players, including Levis Ogutu, Kennedy Mugo, Ayuen Mach Mayen, and Bethoven Okombo, have stepped up when it mattered most. At the same time, young players such as Trivor Omondi and Stephen Otieno have taken their opportunities and shown that the club's future is bright. Every player in the squad has contributed to this memorable campaign.
Beyond the results, this season has helped shape our identity. We have shown that we can compete with the best teams in the country while continuing to build for the future.

We are truly grateful for their encouragement and continued investment in the team.
Our attention now turns to the KVF National Men's League Final, where we will face Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in a best-of-three series beginning on Friday, 4pm at the Kasarani Indoor Arena. It will be a historic contest with both teams chasing the league title for the very first time.
